Bone Portfolio

So what with the rush to finish all my finals, and then the pure lethargy that set in the moment the winter break started, I never got around to posting my final projects on this blog here. So, ah, here's the first of the forgotten projects, the dreaded bone portfolio (not formatted cause my formatted version's text was really poorly written and no one needs to see that) :

(Also I apologize for the massive amount of scrolling you have to do thanks to this post... blogger is absolutely horrible with formatting a mass amount of images in one post. Even when I make the images smaller and try to put them side-by-side, nothing wants to stay neatly organized, so eventually I gave up and just posted one picture under the other.)

Texture Paintings

So I chose to paint the paw and the tea-set cause I wanted to challenge myself with fur and metal, but the pomagranate and the strawberries were chosen entirely out of food cravings... On another note, I'm actually starting to really like gouache c:

Character Expression Sheet (:

This here is Thimble, a tiny gnome man that desperately wishes to be a Christmas elf so he can hang out with reindeer, whom he adores so dearly.

Pen/Chopstick and Ink Life Drawing!!!

We had to draw with ink in our latest life drawing class, and I actually kinda like how mine turned out?? I'd never touched pen and ink before this class, so it was quite an experience! I really like the medium, and hopefully in the future I'll be able to try it out some more for personal projects :D

Sorry about the crappy cellphone photos haaa. And, uh, the amount of time spent on each figure varies... either the time was written in the top-right corner of the page, or right next to its respective figure. The drawing times include 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes and 5 minutes. You can probably tell which are which just by looking though.

These first few figures were drawn with a bowl pen:

And these were drawn with a chopstick:
