So I chose to paint the paw and the tea-set cause I wanted to challenge myself with fur and metal, but the pomagranate and the strawberries were chosen entirely out of food cravings... On another note, I'm actually starting to really like gouache c:

Character Expression Sheet (:
This here is Thimble, a tiny gnome man that desperately wishes to be a Christmas elf so he can hang out with reindeer, whom he adores so dearly.

Pen/Chopstick and Ink Life Drawing!!!
We had to draw with ink in our latest life drawing class, and I actually kinda like how mine turned out?? I'd never touched pen and ink before this class, so it was quite an experience! I really like the medium, and hopefully in the future I'll be able to try it out some more for personal projects :D
Sorry about the crappy cellphone photos haaa. And, uh, the amount of time spent on each figure varies... either the time was written in the top-right corner of the page, or right next to its respective figure. The drawing times include 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes and 5 minutes. You can probably tell which are which just by looking though.
These first few figures were drawn with a bowl pen:

And these were drawn with a chopstick:

Ball Toss (Rough)
Woooo here's the rough pencil test of my ball toss animation! Hopefully It's not too light to see what the heck's happening... for some reason, things look a-okay on the school comps, and occasionally on my laptop, but on my roomie's laptop everything was way too bright to see anything gughhh why can't screen brightness just be standardized or something idek okayokay yeah anywho I'll stop there.
Layout Camera Composition Thing
Ewewew yet another thing I wasn't happy with at all but it's done I'm done so there it is,,
(and psst, yes I do realize the waitress suddenly has sleeves in one panel. I just noticed too late to care enough to change it haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)
Bonus ending panel cause I'm a horrible person. Anyone who gets my terribly morbid joke gets applause and a massive apology.

Royal Winter Fair (:
Ughhghghh I'm not happy at all with my animal gestures and studies like whoA I need to figure out how animals work but I wanna post em anyways cause a) my blog needs more things on it, but mostly cause b) I can stare at it every time I go on this blog to remind myself how badly I need to practice drawing animals. But eeeey, bonus points for baby's first attempt at watercolour :'D

Dumb ol storyboard pro thing
For digitools we had to do a quick storyboard thing of a nursery rhyme in ToonBoom Storyboard Pro. This is what came to be ahahha...
Beluga (Cleanup)
Here's the cleaned up version of my beluga! A bit easier to see what's happening ahhaha. Once again, the bg is not mine-- it's the default one my prof provided. I just coloured it. Guhhh and the beluga shrunk?? Idk how that happened. I used the right resolution... oh well. It's, er, in the distance.

Belugaaaaa
Ahahaha I'm cringing at this cause I see everything I did wrong with this animation, but I already spent so much time on it and I'd rather not dwell on this one assignment, and instead get a move on my other projects so I don't fall behind. I learned a lot simply by working through creating this animation, and I'm prepared to get the grade (and feedback) I deserve, and to learn even further from that information. I was able to take a lot from experiencing the work process of this assignment, and I'm gonna definitely apply what I've learned into whatever I work on next!!
(Also ps the background isn't mine-- it's just the default bg my prof made for us to use to make the swim cycle really look like our marine animal is going somewhere)
